John Neiner, MD

Dr. John Neiner was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. He completed his undergraduate degree with honors at the University of Notre Dame and his medical degree at the Medical College of Georgia, one of the founding institutions of “patient-family centered care.” Dr. Neiner learned that the disease process affects not just the patient but also their family, friends, and social circles. All these aspects must be addressed to adequately combat an illness.

Dr. Neiner completed a 5 year residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck surgery (ENT) at Louisiana State University – Shreveport, a high-volume surgical institution. As a result, he is proficient in the traditional adult and pediatric ENT surgery and trained in the disorders of the ears, sinuses, allergies, oral cavity, voice, facial trauma, head and neck, and facial plastic surgeries.

In addition, Dr. Neiner is able to perform more modern techniques, such as in-office or outpatient-base surgeries, minimally invasive ENT techniques including endoscopic ear and salivary gland procedures, lasers, endoscopic sinus/nasal surgery including balloon sinuplasty, and facial injectables. He looks forward to providing these services so that you can enjoy all that south Florida has to offer sooner and healthier.

Dr. Neiner’s hobbies include fishing, SCUBA, and keeping a saltwater reef aquarium. His wife Ami is a practicing optometrist from Texas who looks forward to relocating to the Fort Myers area. The Neiners are the loving caretakers of two rescue dogs, a one-eyed Boston terrier and a hard-of-hearing Scottish terrier. Both enjoy the outdoors, whether camping, grilling, or back porch-ing. They are honored and humbled to be involved in your medical care and look forward to getting to know you and your family.
