Dr. Karen Major, AuD

Dr. MajorDr. Major completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst in communication disorders. During this time she was honored with an externship at the Clark School for the Deaf where she worked alongside children with cochlear implants. Upon completing undergraduate studies, Dr. Major was one of four students accepted into the Masters program at CUNY Brooklyn College. She completed externships at such notable facilities as Brooklyn College, Queens Hospital, and Bellevue Hospital. After extensive training she later graduated top in her class and was the recipient of a merit scholarship. She graduated from her doctoral program at the University of Florida summa cum laude while practicing full time.

Dr. Major’s many studies have led her to be an expert in both pediatric and adult diagnostic and rehabilitative audiology. Her services include comprehensive audiological examinations, tinnitus evaluation, dizziness examinations and treatment, and hearing aid evaluations and fittings.

In her free time, Dr. Major is the choreographer for the dance team at Florida Gulf Coast University and enjoys making memories with her husband and daughter. She looks forward to providing superior audiological care to all of her patients, past and present, in Southwest Florida.
