Alicia Torres, AuD

Dr. Torres received her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Marquette University in 2003.  She was passionate about pursuing a career in Speech Pathology until she took her first audiology class.  She then moved to Mount Pleasant, Michigan where she obtained her Doctoral Degree in Audiology from Central Michigan University in 2007.

During her studies at Central Michigan University, she was involved in a variety of clinical rotations, including hospitals, private practices, rehabilitation clinics and public schools.  She completed her externship year at the Central Arkansas Veterans Healthcare System in Little Rock, Arkansas. 

Originally from Milwaukee, WI, her studies led her to Michigan, Arkansas and then finally to Florida, where she accepted her first audiology position.  She has been in Florida for over 10 years and has worked as a clinical audiologist in medical practices and in private practices as well.  She is a compassionate health care provider and it is her goal to improve her patient’s health, well-being and enjoyment of life by improving their ability to communicate with their loved ones. 

In her spare time, Dr. Torres enjoys spending time at museums and historical places with her husband, who is a history buff.  She also loves doting on her two babies, a Brussels Griffon and a Boxer.  She also enjoys reading, crafting, and word puzzles
